Jack Frost Revert F3 Spore Swab

Description

Origins/History:
Psilocybe cubensis var “Jack Frost Revert F3” is recently released from MMM’s supplier. A batch of Jack Frost was intentionally stressed to induce phenotypic change (see bottom for the OG Jack Frost history description). This change to the F0’s resulted in the production of leucistic Jack Frost F1 that had some spore deposition. Most of the F0 caps showed a pattern of black spores in the center with no or albino spores around the outside and little cap pigment production.

The F1’s (below phenotype) have some of golden color to the center of the caps and also exhibit light spore production overall, with some dark spore depositors seen. The F1’s (below phenotype) are the result of crossing the F0’s (above phenotype).

The F2’s (below phenotype) have more of golden color to the center of the caps and also exhibit light spore production overall, with more dark spore depositors seen. Retains the vigor associated with the Jack Frost original genetics. The F1’s (below phenotype) are the result of crossing the F0’s (above phenotype).

The F3 spores available here are the result of crossing the F2’s (above phenotype). This lineage will try to be stabilized and renamed, but for now follow along, document, and participate in the genetic selection process. My supplier is trying to retain the original Jack Frost vigor while increasing spore production, secondarily maintaining some leucism. Start with these genetically diverse F3 spores and see what phenotypes arise.
Jack Frost Revert F3 may be shortened to JFR F3 or JF Revert F3.

Original Jack Frost Origins/History:
Jack Frost is a relatively new variety, developed around 2018, and has become a must have for true collectors. Jack Frost originated from a cross of True Albino Teacher (TAT) and Albino Penis Envy (APE) and was isolated by Wombat. Jack Frost retains characteristics from the parent varieties including completely albino spores. The lineage these Jack Frost spores were taken from did not drop spores and were taken as swabs directly. Not only are albino spores always great to compare to canonical spores under the scope, but the lineage of this cross makes it one all collectors should document and store in their spore library.

Spores are for microscopy/art/collection purposes only as specified in the TOS.
Spore swabs are sterile medical swabs covered in spores and wrapped in foil. Spore swabs are sold as singles.
Spore swabs are sent in a ziplock bag with “Microscopy use only” written on the ziplock.
Spore swabs will be labelled with an acronym for the variety or with the full variety name or, if it is a single swab, the ziplock may be labelled.
Due to environmental, genetic, and other conditions, the phenotype contained within the spores may be different than the collector’s card image. All varieties, especially mutant ones, are vetted to ensure the correct genetics are being sold.
