Spore syringes are made with distilled sterile water, homogenized on a magnetic stir plate before loading, and are >10 mL (10 mL syringes usually filled to 10.5-11 mL).

Each syringe includes a sterile 18g needle. The syringes are labelled at the base with a sticker that has the name or an abbreviation but also come with collectors cards that have the batch date and full species and variety name.
MMM retains videos of all spore solution full batches to demonstrate spore density of each batch. At least the last few years are available and MMM is happy to share them via email request.

Any issues with seeing spores under the scope, contamination etc can contact me with order number and batch date of varieties in question. I will mark your issues, see if others experienced the same, and work with you to get replacements to you to make up for any batch issues as per the Terms of Service.

Make sure to shake spore solutions extremely well before use to redistribute spores, especially for well homogenized samples.

The syringes should be good for 6-12+ months at room temperature (away from sunlight is best) and up to 2-5+ years in the fridge. It is always recommended to use ASAP. If you plan to use the syringes in the first 3-4 months after receiving them, I recommend to keep them at room temperature away from light (like in a drawer or box). Otherwise store them in the fridge until use being mindful of freeze risk. Spore syringes absolutely should not freeze, so make sure if storing in the fridge that the fridge is not set too low, make sure the syringes are not kept in a low temperature zone, and/or insulate the syringes (like in an insulated lunchbox).

Syringes should not freeze and should not exceed 110°F for 2+ hours. 99.9% of the time there are no issues during shipping; make sure to follow tracking and get inside ASAP if extreme temperatures are possible (or consider general delivery to your local USPS to pick up in person). I do not cover issues related to temperature during shipping.
