Pleurotus ostreatus var “Sporeless”- This is a variety of oyster mushrooms that is perfect for home cultivators. The spores of oyster mushrooms have been known to cause health issues with chronic and high concentration exposure; however, this variety does not produce spores! The lack of spores does not appear to alter performance and is highly recommend for home growers, especially those with a low tech set up that does not have the ability to exhaust spores outside.
Fruits best between 55-70°F but should fruit at ~50-75°F.

All gourmet liquid cultures (LCs) are provided with a 16g needle (in the manufacturer’s packaging) and come in 10 mL capped syringes. They will be labelled on the plunger and are grown in a 2% malt extract solution. Shake well before use.

This is my first shot at growing gourmets and everything is going great! Unfortunately the sporeless oyster had a pretty bad bacterial contamination, but I have had a generally good experience with this vendor overall in the last few years I've been ordering, hence the 5 star review! Also, I usually send cash and have had 0 issues with order fulfillment!

It’s my first time growing mushrooms and I loved the boutique-like experience of ordering through mushroom man mycology. I needed my hand to be held a little, and he was so kind and helpful. The Sporeless oyster mycelium has far surpassed the timelines that I expected based on learning how to grow oysters. If this is indicative of the rest of the cultures I purchased, I’m an even happier customer than before. I will definitely be ordering more as I make more time for this wonderful hobby. MMM is serious business! After doing some research I decided to go with MMM due to the great reviews and let's face it the Fu@#!ng holiday sale! Stellar customer service! I literally had to directly email him to make sense of the AMOUNT of freebies MMM was sending! I used MESH Pretty easily and was rewarded for that! As an amateur mycologist I decided this was the time and place to start a small spore library and MMM Did not disappoint! All said and done I ordered 6 MSS 5 pack vc single vc plus a print, jar top, and a VC spore swab. I had 13 MSS after freebies and all top notch! Love the stickers and info cards too!!!For MMM to do what he does its a beautiful thing! Dude is obviously passionate about his mycology!More people should be glued to microscopes instead of the TV. .
