Lentinula edodes

This culture of shiitake has the standard shiitake fruiting abilities but also can tolerate warm fruiting conditions. This shiitake culture can fruit above 18°C (~65°F).
This shiitake culture is be able to fruit at about 50-75/80°F.
Browning is recommended for this culture but it has been shown to popcorn and fruit before browning fully.
Shiitake may be shortened to Shiit.

All gourmet liquid cultures (LCs) are provided with a 16g needle (in the manufacturer’s packaging) and come in 10 mL capped syringes. They will be labelled on the plunger and are grown in a 2% malt extract solution. Shake well before use.

Very Viable

Great spores/LC, haven’t been disappointed yet. For me, this strain has been quite the slow mover but very rich colonization. Great products, very great customer service!

Beautiful cultures

Mmm has the best cultures. I ordered a warm fruiting shiitake syringe along with a lions mane, and a vendor's choice at checkout, which happen to be pink oyster! All 3 cultures were absolutely amazing. Nice and thick syringes ready for grains. I got all 3 to oats right away and everything is look clean and growing well. The pink oyster took off and colonized my jar in 10 days! Just amazing. Really looking forward to fruits in a few weeks. I Def recommend MMM to anyone wanting to start gourmet mushrooms.

Great shiitake genetics!

These shiitakes did great for me. They colonized relatively quick (for shiitake) and produced some nice, healthy fruits!

Shittake and Chestnut LC

MMM a class act ; items arrived fast, some nice stickers thrown in. The LC’s were packed and thriving in their syringes. Already put to grain/expanded LC and growing strong have worked with MMM gourmet genetics - I have Yet to see any contamination - clean.
