Psilocybe cyanescens, not to be confused with Panaeolus cyanescens- see here for Pan cyan samples, is a woodlover species that is thought to be native to the Pacific Northwest of USA; however, it is also found around parts of Europe, Western Asia, and New Zealand. Ps. cyanescens varies in spore characteristics from P. cubensis and offers a great comparison under the scope. Consider checking out Ps. allenii which is closely related to Ps. cyanescens and is likely a locally derived, speciality species.

The spore prints are on paper within a ziplock.

Spore prints are sent in a larger ziplock bag with “Microscopy use only” written on the ziplock.
