This has other applications: tldr? Satisfied customer! - loads of cool unconventional uses

The nutrients are specific for Cordyceps (I have not tried with Orphiocordyceps yet to see if there are failure rates or specific issues; nor with Fungus that devours Cicada). It is likely that this premix has a lot of uses especially as a fundamental building block for life. I appreciate the quality. I think I ruined my grow; this is my first grow of this unique Fauna. My grow attempt has Mycelium (white - it may not be Cordyceps and my first attempt was not via recipe nor guidelines).

please be considerate and after messing with your grow whether in a Martha Tent, Monotub, Terrarium, or Refridgerator.

One an indeed just grow agar/mycellium. one can also put in the work for getting it to mushroom/mate.

One can trick folk by filling a bag of Cheese Corn Snacks with Cordy as a psychology experiment.

When I first inoculated I used no PPE. I did coincidentally experience sleep-ish paralysis. No big deal - my body temperature is 98 degrees Fahrenheit. More or less on average. The momentary paralysis is not the same as vascular paralysis seen in spider venom or circulatory vasoconstriction.

Ants try to get into the fridge.

I think it might be useful for Hymenoptera (ants, Bees, Wasps; not Vespa and other look-alikes - all are good)and growing ant mushroom crops (I.E. Leaf Cutter species). My assumption is its made out of ant chitin? I know you can take ants and terraform a terrarium to sustain constant cycling of MMM's epic & legendary Cordy. My grow might need to be repackaged with just combining the white mycelium all into a single fruiting block. ALSO you can likely continuously feed the fruiting block; experiment with that. If you are breeding for genetic diversity then its going to adapt/evolve. Cool mushroom.

I think you can ferment this stuff to procure yeasts, molds, and medicines (beware of Mycotoxins - it might be good for a lot of yeasts, too. By branching out with Cordy you delve further into microbiology, medicine, and ecology! With breeding I think some strains could procure new and novel substances. This is the building blocks of growing a Fauna or two. I plan to follow the guidelines next time if I cannot recover my grow. I think at 68 F C. militaris is at the top of the food chain providing it has nutes!

I cooked my rice, mixed broth, covered; cooled in fridge & let it drop temp. Then add Agar & spores! <3 I also mixed surplus chunks of nutes. Currently some colors - no foul odor and again: white fuzzy mycelium. I still am unsure if its more predator or more parasite? Does it affect the ecosystem like wolves do in a forest or is it inbetween on the threshhold of evolution? How does it impact ant against ant behavior? Does it like the higher protein content of an klepto-parasitic ant species such as Polyurgus or does it prefer whatever whenever? All good questions. I want to breed a specialist that only targets klepto-parasitic Hymenoptera such as Polyurgus and cucoo bees - I think it would lead to more Hymenoptera diversity along with Flora diversity, too.

All worth research! There are multiple evolutions and adaptations to circumvent klepto parasitism & to survive - first grow, first mushroom

Thanks so much for your thoughtful reply my friend!

I do have a guide to use to get your cordy grows going- it is a nice skeleton to start with.

Cordyceps is white and puffy to begin with, it will orange over time with exposure to light and maturity before fruiting, so that can help you determine if its cordy or contam.

Good luck, I cant wait to see those forbidden cheetos!

Great!

Great premix! Cordyceps showed extremely aggressive colonization so I guess they loved the premix, now just waiting on the fruits!

good stuff!

It was a solid mix! I wasn't able to get my rice cooked in time but the mix created a rainbow of life on the rice! Would order again just to do it right and see what fruits it helps to produce
