All gourmet liquid cultures (LCs) are provided with a 16g needle (in the manufacturer’s packaging) and come in 10 mL capped syringes. They will be labelled on the plunger and are grown in a 2% malt extract solution. Shake well before use.

Arrived and started growing super quickly! I hadn't used liquid culture before and was surprised by how vigorously it grew. I grew these in jars and when I popped my mycelium cakes out to harvest they felt like little sponges!

MMM never ceases to amaze! I expanded a few syringes into 1/2 gallon jars per usual and the pearl oyster LC has grown a ton in one week! I'm super grateful for MMM's phenomenal and super clean liquid cultures. I have successfully grown these cultures with great success the past three months. I gave my neighbors freebies of lion's mane, pink and yellow oyster and they all remarked how beautiful the mushrooms were. I can't wait to see how the pearl oyster fruits! It is my second time ordering from this website. At first it may seem complicated, but it really isn't-- there is an email that lays out the details that guides you. Tested culture on (3) new agar dishes, had zero contamination…
Gourmet liquid culture syringe was LOADED with mycelium.
I had visible mycelium growth on the agar dish on (Day2).
