Description

EXOTIC

Panaeolus cyanescens is a species that is wide spread throughout the globe. Canonical Pan. cyan spores are dark black and differ visually from cubensis spores; Panaeolus species are a great addition to your spore library to compare to cubensis spores under the microscope.

The spore prints were made from domesticated fruits but this lineage originated from Australia. This specific lineage of spores available for sale is a redspore mutation where the spores are brownish/reddish in color, especially compared to the jet black normal Pan. cyan. This color mutation can be seen in the collector’s card image on the website. The spore color mutation is relatively stable but there can be reversions to a black spore.
Panaeolus cyanescens var “Australia; Red Down Under” may be shortened to RDU, ARDU, or Pan cyan RDU, Pan cyan ARDU.

These prints were made on a metal disc and each print is contained within its own small ziplock. Prints are relatively large and dark, especially for Panaeolus cyanescens– see reference photos below.
Note- The label printed on the print has a mispelling of cyanescens; please excuse this error which will be corrected with future prints from this new supplier.

Spore prints are sent in a larger ziplock bag with “Microscopy use only” written on the ziplock.
Spore prints will be labelled as shown in the image.
