Penis Envy is an iconic variety with high medicinal value and an interesting history. Penis Envy is a mutant lineage that usually does not drop spores, forms “blobs”, and forms caps that do not extend and flatten like a canonical P. cubensis. 

Overtime, the Penis Envy variety has been crossed with other lineages to produce various new varieties that select on different characteristics of the parent varieties. By purchasing this item, you can have exposure to Penis Envy through these more stable varieties that have become to be beloved themselves. Psilocybe cubensis var “Burmese Penis Envy” is the result of a cross between Burma and Penis Envy. This variety is still relatively new and is unstable. Check them out under the scope today and see what spore characteristic you find in your sample!

Psilocybe cubensis var “Aquarian Fungi Albino Penis Envy-Revert; AF APE-R” is a variety that was developed from APE-Revert by Aquarian Fungi. APE-Revert was developed from APE but drops spores. The revert alludes to the return to the canonical phenotype from the APE phenotype (canonical spore color and shape/size, very minimal albino spores, produces spore prints and does not require swabbing). AF APE-R was isolated from APE-Revert, which is already not a stabilized variety, and AF APE-R was selected for speed and size and outperforms APE-Revert. There is an expectation of some variance in shape/size in these samples just like APE-Revert. A historic sample to have in your library, consider grabbing APE-Revert to compare to!
Aquarian Fungi Albino Penis Envy-Revert may be shortened to AF APE-R.

Psilocybe cubensis var “Leucistic Penis Envy Uncut” is a mutant PEU (Reverted lineage) that is leucistic. LPEU is stable in terms of the leucism, but has some variability, see what phenotypes you can find within the spores. LPEU was stabilized and popularized around 2020 and is now available again. Albino Penis Envy Uncut (APEU) was derived from the same lineage that these LPEU spores are from. These spores represent a precious moment in mycology history.
